“Ms Tee is always very helpful and continuously makes every class hands-on and understandable. She presents information not as a wise and powerful elder to ignorant naïve student, but as an equal who is helping a fellow student. I always loved the fact that she explained and connected every exercise, tip, or example. This made each lesson something I could easily reflect on, not puzzle over. Lessons with Ms. Tee was a struggle at first, especially detache, but after months of what seemed like no improvement and constant frustration, I realized how much better I had become in just 5 months. I genuinely thank Ms. Tee for helping me and my violin playing with my lack of responsibility. Ms Tee is by far my best (and favourite =) teacher I have ever had!

“She’s nice. She doesn’t make you feel bad about mistakes. She is always positive and always brings people up.”
- Samuel, 11
“Tee has helped me build a really strong foundation in all my violin techniques. I’m really happy with how far I’ve progressed with her because she takes a lot of time to make sure that I am good with my rhythms, bowing techniques, and playing. She has taught me a lot of exercises like the push and pull, and solfege which have helped me to play and read music very well as I’m a beginner.
Tee is an amazing teacher who is fun, patient, flexible, and innovative and she makes sure that all her students reach the level they wish to go to and beyond! I’m so thankful to have her as my teacher!"
- Shruti Attreya, 17, BASIC Ahwatukee
“When I practiced with Tee I felt comfortable. She is difficult, it feeling precipitous at times, but I improved significantly faster for it. I most appreciate her drive on progressing lesson not on an individual piece, but on techniques in general, allowing me to progress in all my classes with greater efficiency. All of the listed reasons meant that my learning was swifter and, in the end, containing less hardships.”
- Devon King, 14, BASIS Scottsdale
"Tee's an extremely experienced teacher and also performer who's attentive, tough, yet inspiring at the same time. She has so much to bring to each lesson! Unlike many other violinists who wow students with their "demos", she focuses on the student and makes sure you leave each day with sufficient good practice. She's also very good at spotting mistakes of early learners before they blossom into problematic habits. What I like most is Tee's ability to customize the learning experience for each student, depending on the way s/he learns-of course, without compromising on lesson quality.
I spent close to 2 years with her as a private student and I could not have asked for a better teacher. I attended many of her concerts as well, it was a wonderful journey."
- John, DuyDuong Tran
"Every week, for the past two years, I have learned techniques such as push and pull, straight bow, rhythms, and correct hand posture. Violin lessons with Tee have improved my playing.
- Francesca Valli-Doherty, 14, Mesa High School (Chandler, AZ)
"Thank you for a year of fun. I have had hardships but you helped me pull through. Now I sound better then someone who has been playing viola for four years! Thank you for teaching me what a class couldn't. I have been learned so much this year thanks to you."
- Devon (Scottsdale, AZ)
"Viola lessons have helped me with my intonation, scales, and rhythms. I appreciate having lessons every week. I think they have really helped."
- Isabella Valli-Doherty, 12, Poston Junior High (Chandler, AZ)
"I have really enjoyed working with Tee the last couple of years on my violin skills. Having started with the ASU school of music, the one-on-one personalized lesson helped me tremendously as I was able to focus on the areas I needed most. Lessons with Tee enhanced my orchestra experience as I played with my high school orchestra."
- Valeria Smith, Junior, Mt. Pointe High School
